Our Story

Rooted in Faith.
Called to Serve.

FCN Scotland was born from a simple conviction — that Christian nurses across Scotland deserve a community where their faith and their vocation are both honoured.

How We Began

A Community Born from Calling

FCN Scotland was founded in 2025 by a group of Christian nurses who recognised a gap — a need for a space where nurses could bring their whole selves: their clinical expertise, their faith, and their humanity.

We are non-denominational, welcoming all nurses who share a Christian faith and a desire to walk out their calling with others. Whether you are newly arrived in Scotland, long established, a student, or a seasoned practitioner — you belong here.

FCN Scotland is affiliated with the broader International Fellowship of Christian Nurses UK movement and exists to serve the nursing community across every Scottish city and region.

"
"Nursing is not just a profession — it is a divine calling. We are ministers of healing, and our faith is not a private matter but the very source of our strength."
— FCN Scotland Founding Statement

What We Stand For

Our Core Values

✝️

Christ-Centred

Everything we do flows from our relationship with Christ. Scripture guides our decisions, our care, and our community.

🤝

Fellowship

We believe nurses thrive in community. We create spaces — online and in-person — where belonging is real and vulnerability is safe.

Excellence

We are committed to the highest professional standards, believing that clinical excellence and Christian character go hand in hand.

🌿

Holistic Care

We care for the total person — Spirit, Soul, and Body — in our patients and in one another.

Scotland-Wide

From Glasgow to Inverness, we are building a fellowship that reaches every corner of Scotland.

Kingdom Impact

We are nurses and we are Kingdom ambassadors — called to advance God's purposes in every ward, clinic, and community we serve.
